For my senior project, I chose to dive deeper into my passion for music production. I chose to compile a shortlist of the highest quality, budget home studio equipment with the help of some family and friends that work in the music industry. I had both a producer as well as a sound engineer help me decide which products were the best for the price. As the music industry begins to shift away from corporate labels and high budget production, more and more famous musicians are beginning their musical journeys from their own computer. The purpose of my project was to show what it costs for someone to create a quality sound that would allow them to take the first step towards becoming a successful musician.
